I had the great privilege of being Vic's ballroom dance partner for a number of years. This entailed true dedication and plenty of practice! Attending classes throughout the week and rising early, religiously every Sunday morning at 6.00 a.m. to practice at Warnham village hall. Methodically, we went through all our dance routines in Foxtrot, Quickstep, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Samba and Cha Cha. Practice was followed by tea, biscuits and of course, the scrutinisation of Saturday night's Strictly Come Dancing performances. 

Vic transported me away from the worries of life and my Mum's terminal illness. Dancing with Vic gave me a sense of freedom, lifted my spirits and enabled me to get through those difficult times. The sounds of Ramblin' Rose, Danny Boy, Moon River and Green Door still echo in my ears today and always bring a smile to my face and the tapping of my feet.
