As a relatively new member of HRPC, my first visit to the club was to receive
a welcome that I could hardly have expected from a very smiley gentleman
sitting on his throne for the afternoon surrounded by similar beaming faces
ready for a great session of banter. Vic had instantly ensured that I was going
to be made welcome and part of the proceedings. We had never met before,
or so we thought, until we discovered that we were both at school together in
the mid/late 1950's and many memories of Bognor leaked out that we may have
quite liked the town slightly more than George V who had a different view.
Vic was the type of fellow that you wished you had met earlier in life and for those
who did, their lives have been granted a huge bonus.
It was Vic who pointed me in the direction of Crawley Surplus.
Tell them that Vic sent you he said and they will look after you. They did.
His name automatically created smiles.
Thank you Vic for your advice and encouragement and that smile.
Paul.
